BlueMatrix Technologies is an agricultural technology startup specializing in crop disease detection powered by machine learning. We'll help farmers surgically manage crop health with detailed field analytics.
We have successfully produced a computer vision model identifying the southern blight disease in sweet corn crops. We achieved this with a relatively small dataset of 1200 images. Our next step is to develop a model from a significantly larger dataset to increase accuracy and make it generalizable to more diseases and all stages of corn growth.
Our dedicated team consists of students from the University of Florida, MIT, and Virginia Tech who are knowledgable in agricultural science as well as signal processing, machine learning, and drone technology.
